Haras des Dorrells is in the region of Le Merlerault, an area famous for the quality of the grass and therefore home to many well-known stud farms for both thoroughbreds and trotters.
Our stud
Boarding and sales
We provide boarding for mares, young stock and resting horses and also prepare horses for the Arqana sales in Deauville. Foaling the mares and transport to the stallions are key services that we provide.
Breeders ourselves
As breeders of both race horses and sports horses, we welcome visitors and clients from both areas of the horse industry.
Breeding for success
There are many reasons to breed your horses in France including the climate and the pasture. However the French Breeders Premiums give a further incentive, rewarding breeders and giving a financial advantage to breed in France rather than elsewhere.
Who are we ?
Dorrells is a family business established in France in 2007. Our experienced and dedicated team enable us to provide high quality care to the horses boarding here.
MB Vétérinaires provide the veterinary care for the horses to the highest standards.
Our farrier work is done by Gonzague Baijot and his team who are well known in the region for their expertise.
